What is fleet management

Each plugin installation gets a random install UUID (iid) and an optional user-set alias. Both appear on the dashboard at clawvitals.io/dashboard.

Set an alias

clawvitals set alias prod-server-1

Max 64 characters. Never derived from hostname or system identity always user-set.

Show identity

show clawvitals identity shows install UUID, alias (if set), and link to dashboard.

Privacy

The iid is a random UUID generated at install time. It has no relationship to your hostname, username, or any machine identifier. The alias is only sent in telemetry if you explicitly set one.
